No Straight Roads Rocks The Switch On June 30 –

Without giving much thought to this upcoming game, I freely admit that I thought No Straight Roads was a racing game! I’ve never been wrong. This track is an action adventure that is stylistically executed with an incredible rock soundtrack. The newly announced Switch version will include a support mode, as well as support for up to three players in co-op and touchscreen mode. Words don’t really do the game justice, so make sure you check out the new trailer below!

OFFICIAL CONFESSION:

Sold and Metronomik will be bringing No Straight Roads on the 30th. June 2020 on Nintendo Switch™ and the Xbox One family of devices, including the Xbox One X, coinciding with the release of the PlayStation®4 game console and PC.

The Nintendo No Straight Roads version of the switch includes additional features designed to take advantage of the system’s unique functionality, including

  • Exclusive Wizard Mode – Team up with another local player to take control of Elliegator, a mysterious alligator wizard who can help players in battle by collecting items, transforming accessories and summoning useful power-ups.
  • 3 Player Cooperative Mode – Assist allows up to three local players to play No Straight Roads music together, only on the Nintendo Switch.
  • Touchscreen Support – Use the touchscreen on the Nintendo Switch system to handle accessories and retrieve items.
  • One Switch Nintendo Switch Joy-Con™ Controller Play – Play the entire game with one Joy key-Con™, or pass the second key to a friend to play on the couch.

Additionally, the collector’s edition of No Straight Roads will be available for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. It includes an exclusive double-sided vinyl with tracks from the game’s official soundtrack, a 64-page Art of NSR artbook, official NSR drumsticks and a funky presentation box.

Directed by Wan Hazmer, lead designer of Final Fantasy XV, and Daim Dziauddin, conceptual artist of Street Fighter V, No Straight Roads is an action-adventure game that mixes rhythmic combat with a vibrant and eccentric world and a killer soundtrack.

Fans have been asking for the Nintendo Switch and Xbox One versions of No Straight Roads since day one. That’s why we’re incredibly excited to launch the game on these platforms to coincide with the PS4 and PC versions this June, said Sarah Hoeksma, marketing director at Sold Out. We can’t wait for players to experience the rock star in them with this musical adventure on their platform this summer.

The Nintendo Switch version of No Straight Roads was co-developed by Taiwanese studio NeoBards, who also worked on Onimusha’s Triple Pack Devil May Cryple Pack : The warlords and the inhabitants of the evil resistance. The Xbox One version was developed in collaboration with Swedish studio Toadman Interactive, part of the EG7 group.

Pre-order for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC at the Epic Game Shop is not available.
