We are happy and proud to announce a new release of the DreamFace Interactive Framework, Build #102, now available for download from the Community site.

Build #102

The new version is full of improvements and new features that you helped us factor in into the Build #102 release. Thanks from all the team for all the feedback and comments since the Web2.0 Expo, last April in San Francisco!

This Build introduces several new features and one important change. In order to improve robustness and scalability of Dreamface-based Web applications we’ve moved all repository information to a proper relational storage layer. The version available for download uses MySQL as the storage backend. It has been successfully released as part of the 360Gadget Facebook applications, for instance, where volume and response time are critical.

Among the many other new features introduced in this Build #102 release:

  • Dynamic DataSources with the new class of “Providers”;
  • Preferences, more personalization ever! Built-in customization for all components in a DreamFace-based Web applications;
  • Skins, both for the Framework and for WebPrograms/WebChannels developed and shared by users;
  • WebPrograms, now with comprehensive access to RESTful Web Services or calls to Javascript functions for even better integratio from within Business Rules and Variables

and many more…

What’s next?

Download it, try it out, report bugs and give the DreamFace Interactive Framework project some feedback and support.  There are many ways you can communicate, act and participate by joining the community.  Looking forward to seeing you online and sharing your experience of the DreamFace Interactive Framework.
